Disability Open House—de Young

The disability open house at the de Young is coming up soon, October 2. I’ll be giving a presentation on Toulouse Lautrec at 10:00. I’m looking forward to Ann Stocking’s one person show at noon. I haven’t seen her before but she ‘s coming up from LA and comes highly recommended. See y’all there.

Artists demonstrate the art-making process and lead participatory art activities.

“ Live Nude Girl,” written and performed by Ann Colby Stocking

1:15 p.m.–3:00 p.m. Koret Auditorium
Art Slam, a slide show of work by 200 artists

11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Wilsey Court
“Art for Touching” – study collection objects to examine

10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Wilsey Court
Docent tours, including tactile tour for blind visitors at 1:15;
an ASL-interpreted tour at 1:30; “To Dye For” at 10, 11, 12:30 1:30;
“Highlights of the de Young” at 11:15, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00; and other tours.
